A preview of the sermon for this upcoming Sunday (4-21-2019)!
You get up early in the morning and go to the cemetery to visit your recently departed loved one, but their grave is empty? They’re gone!
On Easter morning, we rejoice in the empty tomb, and it is truly a joyful event, but have you stopped to think what made the empty tomb so much greater? It was what happened a few days earlier: the death of Jesus. On that Sunday, the disciples of Jesus went from the lowest of valleys to the highest of mountains.
Our lives are made up of valleys and mountains. Those valleys are the darkest and most dismal times of our lives. But they also make our mountaintop experiences so much sweeter.
We will be talking about our valleys and mountaintop experiences of life. Sometimes empty is terrible, and sometimes empty is so very good.
