Colossians 2:6-7 - (6) So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live

in him, (7) rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you

were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Colossians 2:8 - (8) See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive

philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic

principles of this world rather than on Christ.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 - (3) For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.

Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great

number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (4) They

will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Colossians 2:9-10 - (9) For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and

you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every

power and authority.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 -

(7) "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose confidence is in him.


(8) He will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit."
