"The Kingdom of God is Near" Sermon Notes

Sermon 8 of our series titled "RED Letter Words of Jesus"

Matthew 13:44 (NIV) - (44) "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Mark 1:14-15 (NIV) - (14) After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. (15) "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"

Matthew 6:9-10 (NIV) - (9) "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, (10) your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The kingdom of God is ______ __________ ___ _______ ___ ________.

Jesus’ load is bringing the reign of God into reality here on earth.

Matthew 7:12 (NIV) - (12) So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 25:45 (NIV) - (45) "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

John 13:34-35 (NIV) - (34) "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (35) By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if

you love one another."

Romans 2:6 (NIV) - (6) God "will give to each person according to what he has done."
